Our Collaborative Network

Scaling CVI for a Safer Chicago (SC2) requires a robust network of CVI experts, funders, business leaders, and public sector representatives working together under shared governance to advance an ambitious approach to reducing community violence.

The Partnerships Behind SC2

SC2 is a collaborative strategy of the Partnership for Safe and Peaceful Communities (PSPC), a coalition of more than 50 foundations and other funders; the Civic Committee of the Commercial Club of Chicago, the city’s premier business-led organization; CVI leaders Chicago CRED and Metropolitan Peace Initiatives and their community counterparts; The Chicago Community Trust, which houses the Scaling Community Violence (SC2) General Fund and mobilizes donor contributions for the initiative; and the public sector at the city, county, and state levels. A Steering Committee of their representatives oversees the initiative, including governance, fiscal and administrative oversight, execution, fund distribution, evaluation, and regular reports to donors and other key stakeholders.
