Steering Committee
Co-led by Chicago CRED, MPI, PSPC, and the Civic Committee of the Commercial Club of Chicago, with key representation from public agencies and investors, and community partners.
Implementation Team
Manages cross-site strategy, partner coordination, public-sector collaboration, and risk mitigation.

Metropolitan Peace Initiatives (MPI)
Metropolitan Peace Initiatives (MPI), a division of Metropolitan Family Services, convenes community-based and citywide organizations to help heal Chicago’s communities experiencing the highest levels of gun violence.
Partnership for Safe and Peaceful Communities (PSPC)
The Partnership for Safe and Peaceful Communities (PSPC) is a coalition of more than 50 foundations and funders, working together to identify and support community-led, evidence-based solutions that the public sector can scale as part of a comprehensive approach to addressing gun violence.
The Chicago Community Trust
The Chicago Community Trust, the region's community foundation, unites donors, nonprofits, and residents to support people, organizations, and partnerships that strengthen the Chicago region. The Trust hosts the Scaling Community Violence (SC2) General Fund, which mobilizes contributions from generous donors to support SC2.
The Civic Committee of the Commercial Club of Chicago
The Civic Committee works with business leaders, public officials, and other civic and community organizations on game-changing initiatives to promote the social and economic well-being of our region.

Your Partnership Matters
In 2025, Chicago experienced its lowest homicide rate in six decades and saw a nearly 50 percent decline in shootings since 2021. Despite this progress, the urgency of our work has not diminished. Gun violence and public safety remain top concerns for residents, underscoring the ongoing need for our collective efforts.
Turning this around requires a comprehensive approach to public safety and long-term investments in effective interventions to reduce violence. It requires multi-sector partnerships to combat inequities and historical disinvestment. It requires all of us.
